The Fonda Fair Board invites you to enter the Fonda Fair Baby Contest, sponsored by Montgomery County Public Health to be held at the Fonda Fairgrounds in the Kane Entertainment Building on Thursday, September 3rd, Friday September 4th at 11am, and Saturday September 5th, at 11:00 a.m.
The contest is open to boys and girls ages birth to four years old who are residents of Fulton or Montgomery counties.
Contestants can be pre-registered by mailing to the below address in addition to the times entries are taken at the Fair Secretary’s Office on August 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Registration is also available during the fair week from 9:00am to 9:30am in the Entertainment Building for classes competing on the designated day of competition. The contestants pre-registered at the Fair Secretary’s Office or mail in applications. Please report to the registration table in the Entertainment Building before 10:30am Thursday or Friday and Saturday contestants report by 9:30am to receive a contestant number.
The age groups are as follows:
Birth to 1 year – Thursday, September 3rd, at 11:00 a.m.
1 year and 2 year old’s – Friday, September 4th, at 11:00 am
3 year and 4 year old’s – Saturday, September 5th, at 11:00 a.m.
Eligibility for the age group is determined by the age of the contestant on the day of competition. Parents are responsible for the proper age group.
Contestants will be judged on personality, behavior based on age group, and overall appearance. Winners receive a cash award, ribbon, trophy, and a special prize from Montgomery County Public Health. All contestants receive a certificate of participation and ribbon. Sponsored in part by Montgomery County Public Health Department.
Cash awards per class are: First Place – $25.00, Second Place – $15.00 – Third Place – $10.00
A $10.00 entry fee is required. Please make all checks payable to the “Fonda Fair Baby Contest”. No personal checks accepted after August 5th.
Contestant Admission is Free.
Anyone who brings the child to the competition will be charged admission to the fair.
